An Irish man walks into a briefing...

Hey, I’m Aaron, a Creative Director / Art Director.

I arrived in Australia over 10 years ago from Ireland with just a backpack and no real plan. Between some epic adventures, I worked as a freelance graphic designer and was lucky enough to impress some advertising legends who offered me a job and opened my eyes to a creative career. So, I checked myself into Award School and never looked back.

In recent years I worked at RGA, primarily out of the US and Japan. Highlights include being part of the creative team that sold in the Nike Olympics work, and in my final year, coming up with some of the agency’s most awarded and highest-ranked global work — including Google Pixel Hunt, Battle Cats, Call God, and The Way of the Cat. Call god involved a month-long trip to Japan to make and produce and while there, selling in The Way of the Cat to the MD of Ponos over lunch on a quick trip to Kyoto.

Now, at the amazing Akcelo, where I help lead creative on the agencies largest accounts such as McDonald’s and PepsiCo. Recent wins include the agency’s biggest McDonald’s project — Menu Heist — a extremely successful campaign that saw menu items sell out within weeks, as well as launches for new PepsiCo products like Smith Stax and Mountain Dew Voo Dew — which out sold Pepsi in the campaigns opening weeks.

I also work in Akcelo’s in-house AI studio, helping the agency and its clients push creative boundaries on a weekly basis.
