And with things changing so fast, having a passport with a valid expiry date on it was more important than ever. 

To help stop customers from turning up red-faced at check-in with an out-of-date passport, we gamified the experience of passport checking by turning people’s passports into a lottery ticket with the Passport Recharge. Every day on the build-up to the Trans-Tasman bubble re-opening we posted a random combination of 8 numbers on our socials that translate to a specific expiry date.
